Candied Prosciutto and Melon Soup Sips

These proscuitto and melon hors d'ourves are the perfect appetizer to serve your guets. Convenienty served on a stick, they are easy to eat and will satisfy your guests sweet and savory cravings.

Ingredients

For the melon

1 Whole Sweet Ripe Honeydew Melon
1/2 to 1 Cup sugar OR 1/2 cup honey
1/4 Cup Marsala or Sweet Vermouth

For the Candied Prosciutto Sticks

16 Slices Prosciutto sliced thin, domestic is OK
1 Cup Brown Sugar

Directions

For the melon

For the soup clean the melon and chunk it. Place it in a food processor and add all the ingredients except the sugar.

Run the processor and when pureed shut and taste it. If it is not sweet enough add some sugar and or honey.

Run the processor and check again and continue till you are happy with the flavor.

For the sticks

Line a sheet pan with parchment.

On a table, spread out the prosciutto and sprinkle with the brown sugar
Roll each stick up lengthwise and place on the parchment.
Bake at 350 degrees till the sugar looks like it has caramelized and then remove and cook.
