Carrie's "I Love NY" Cocktail

Carrie is all heart; her passion for shoes, Mr. Big, and New York City is one of her most endearing character traits.

The Sex and the City movie plot has been a well-kept secret, however, they have made it known that Carrie and Big are getting married. Who knows if they'll actually go through with it, but love is in the air!

We couldn't completely abandon the traditional Cosmo, but this time around, we wanted to give it a little more heart with a couple of drops of passion fruit liqueur as you'll find in our recipe below for Carrie's "I Love NY" Cocktail.

Ingredients

• 1/3 Cup olive oil
• 1 oz. vodka
• 2(8- oz. ) cans button mushrooms
• 1/2 oz. triple sec
• 1 Teaspoon dry mustard
• 1/2 oz. Alize' Gold Passion Fruit liqueur
• 1 Tablespoon mustard seed
• 1 oz. red cranberry juice
• 1/2 Teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• splash of fresh lime juice
• 1 (6-oz.) can large black olives, pitted
• lime twist for garnish
• 1 Cup green olives stuffed with pimentos
• 1/2 Teaspoon salt
• 1/2 Teaspoon pepper
• 3 orange bell peppers

Directions

• Cook oil, mushrooms, dry mustard, mustard seed and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over medium heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
• Add ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with a lime twist.
• Place mushroom mixture and olives in a food processor and until olives are finely minced.
• Cut tops of orange peppers and use a spoon to scrape out seed and inner membrane. Use a sharp knife to cut out Jack-O-Latern facial features in the side of the pepper.
• Spoon tapenade into Jack-O-Lantern peppers and serve with thin baguette slices or crackers in a basket.
