Serving delicious food at your birthday party is easy enough if you've got a few tasty and simple recipes up your sleeve. Homemade cheese fries are one example of a birthday party food that fits the bill. We're fans of serving this at many celebrations, but summer birthdays spent poolside are the best!
When feeding children around a pool, the best defense against soggy party food is to serve party favorites that vanish the second they appear. Cheesy fries are crispy enough to stand up against wet fingers, but gooey enough to make them a party pleaser.
Ingredients
1 bag of oven fries (or a homemade batch - whichever you prefer!)
cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese (any cheese, really!)
Directions
Bake the oven chips as directed on the packet, five minutes before they are done, cover them with finely grated cheese (I used cheddar but you can choose your own).
Once the fries are done, use tongs to remove them from the baking try, gently mixing them as you place them in the serving dish to ensure they are all covered in cheese.
