The front door of your home is the most visited spot when having guests over for the holidays, so make it festive! I've broken down a few chic door decor ideas down for you depending on your own sense of style with options for not only your front door, but the inside too!
Traditional Door Decor

For the outside:
Choose holiday colors like reds, greens and golds to decorate your door. I made a DIY pine wreath. It's a traditional decor piece that can easily be decorated with bows, ornaments and lights. Just like a Christmas tree, start by adding your lights first, followed by ornaments and finish with ribbon or bows.

For the inside:
Using the same ribbons as your wreath outside, cut it into varying lengths. tie-on bells and pretty ornaments. Using damage-free clear mini hooks, hang them on the back of your door as a festive decorative installation!
Modern Door Decor

For the outside:
I love this wreath because of the vibrant color pallet. This makes your wreath more fun and modern, if this is more your style. The more eclectic you make your wreath, the better! Use garland for filler as well as vibrant ornaments and holiday chotchkies.

For the inside:
Since this door is more modern, I thought it would be a fun idea to showcase a few beautiful holiday cards you receive this year as well as use it as a way for guests to share their holiday messages. With a bit of craft paper and removable crafting tape, you can DIY your own oversized greeting card and have guests leave fun holiday messages as they leave. Use Scotch Expressions tape or washi tape to recreate the present on my door.
Free Form Door Decor

For the outside or inside:
Deck the halls...without ruining your walls! Using Christmas lights and clear damage-free clips, I outlined the shape of a Christmas tree on my door. Then fill in the white space with metallic and glittered ornaments for some extra glam.
