Nutella, coconut and chocolate ensures that once you start eating, you just can't stop.
The infamous entertaining log is back and packing a hint of Nutella that will make this a hit at your next party or coffee morning.
So simple to make I simply supervised the children while they made it, it will be easy to find an excuse to make one every week.
4 cups of Corn Flakes
2 cups of chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
1 teaspoon of honey
3 tablespoons of Nutella
1 Cup of shredded coconut
Before heating the chocolate, place your Corn Flakes into a large mixing bowl and then fill a medium saucepan halfway with water and bring to a rolling boil.
Then, top the saucepan with a glass mixing bowl large enough to rest on top of the pot.
Reduce your heat to low so you don't risk overcooking or overheating your chocolate. Add the chocolate chips, butter, and honey to the glass bowl and mix with a wooden spoon until the chocolate is melted.
Once it has melted add the Nutella mixing until it is fully blended with the chocolate. The melted mixture should be thick and mousse like.
Remove the bowl and chocolate mixture from the heat and gently blend in the Corn Flakes into the chocolate Nutella mix until fully coated. We like to use a rubber spatula for this part.
Then, begin spooning the mixture into the lined parchment tray to create a log shape.
Once formed, cover the top with shredded coconut and then roll the log into place so that the parchment paper covers it and then place in the fridge to set for an hour.
Before serving, remove the parchment paper and begin slicing the log as and when your bites need replenishing.
