Chocolate Covered Oreos Cookie Pops

Just when you thought a Double-Stuff Oreos couldn't get any better we dunked ours in chocolate and put them on sticks.

This sweet dessert recipe is a decadent and indulgent bite any party guest will enjoy. They're also beyond simple to make, but look awesome displayed on your table.

You may serve these cookies on sticks as dessert at your party, but you could just as easily pass them around as parting gifts to guests.

Ingredients:

1 package of Oreo Double-Stuff cookies

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1/2  tablespoon vegetable oil or shortening

Toffee bits or other cookie sprinkles

Directions:

Insert a lollipop stick or flat popsicle stick between the 2 cookie layers--into the frosting. Lay the cookies on a sheet of wax paper while you prepare the chocolate.

Melt the chocolate chips together with the oil or shortening. Hold each cookie over the bowl of melted chocolate and spoon the melted chocolate over the front, back, and along the edges of each cookie. You can gently spread the chocolate with the back of the spoon to remove excess. 

Lay the cookies on the wax paper and sprinkle with toffee bits.

Allow the chocolate to cool and set up before creating the bouquet of cookie pops.

Then, insert a block of floral foam into the vase or container you will be using. Push the end of the cookie sticks into the foam. Add paper shreds around the top of the vase to hide the floral block.
