Christmas Decoration Supplies
Urn - at least 18" wide, with two holes in the bottom for drainage
Tree - consult your nursery on the best trees for your area
Good quality potting soil
Additional greenery such as Fox wood
Long stems of grass
Floral preservative or hairspray
Floral picks with wire attached
Pot your tree in the urn with potting soil. The type of tree used in the video is an Alberta Spruce, but consult your local nursery on a tree best suited for your area.
Cover potting soil with pine cones and a few acorns until you create a nice, even layer.
At this time add some lights if you choose.
Next, add some additional greenery such as Foxwood. Foxweed turns a beautiful shade of green, as it dries, which gives your tree depth and variation.
Add a coat of floral preservative or hairspray.
Add more pine cones and lemon leave is clusters throughout the tree.
Then, add smaller elements such as the grass.
Add ribbon loops. Cut ribbon into 5-7" long strips. Gather ends, pinch tightly and close with floral picks. Scatter through out tree and fill in gaps.
