You can't beat the taste of tequila, whether served in a Margarita or used as an ingredient in party food!
When cooked, alcohol burns off and leaves the essence of flavor or that great "whiff" when you open the bottle.
To be on the safe side, label this sauce "for grown-ups only" due to the generous amount of tequila in the recipe.
1 cup gold tequila
1 cup fresh lime juice
1 1/2 cups olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Note: Makes about 3 1/2 cups
Whisk together ingredients.
Prepare your barbecue according to manufacturer's instructions.
Grill your choice of meat on a hot barbecue while basting with sauce until thoroughly cooked, about 8 -10 minutes.
