Kids are more likely to eat and enjoy their food when they can help make it. Having a taco bar at a Cinco de Mayo party lets them do just that. It even becomes a fun party activity as kids choose favorite toppings and maybe learn to love some new ones.
- Set out hard and soft taco shells along with a variety of toppings. Meat, beans, salsa, and, of course, cheese are kid-friendly must-haves.
- Also, serve more adventurous choices such as tomatoes, onions, peppers, avocado, guacamole and sour cream. Challenge kids to try something in every color.
- Decorate your food table with bright plastic covers. Kids will appreciate the colors and plastic is best for the inevitable spills.
