This is a warm fruit punch that gives birthday parties a healthy and happy sip.
Every child loves fruit punch, but making it with fresh ingredients makes serving it a real treat for both young party goers and parents alike. Bursting with fresh apples, oranges and sweet maraschino cherries, this punch recipe makes a great alternative to the store bough variety.

For our pirate themed birthday party, where we served this drink, we also laid out a bottle of rum for the parents to spike their punch if desired.
Ingredients:
2 red apples, sliced
2 navel oranges, sliced
Small jar of Maraschino cherries
2 quarts of apple cider
1 quart of cranberry juice
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
Directions:
Simmer the apple cider, cranberry juice and cinnamon for 30 minutes to gently warm the juices and combine the flavors. Once warm, add sliced apples, oranges and the jar of maraschino cherries to the pot and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat, and then pour into a punch bowl before serving.
Serves:
