Mini bunting isn't just a popular way to dress up parties - it's a fun decoration to use everyday. Subtle, yet fun, it's an easy and inexpensive way to decorate your home, add color to your dessert and even offers a unique opportunity to send a smile to a friend.
We've rounded up some of the clever ways we like to celebrate the everyday with mini bunting here. If you received our March 2013 Celebrate Crate you'll find one of our favorite mini bunting banners from Penelope & LaLa in there. Take a look below and let us know how you plan to celebrate with your mini banner!
Mini Bunting in Decor
Mini bunting adds a more dynamic look to wreaths. Here, we used a burlap bunting to compliment the chic country design of this DIY bandana wreath. Use yours to dress up your seasonal look.
If wreaths aren't really your thing, there's an even easier way to use your mini bunting as home decor. Hang it down the side of a door frame for a fun look you'll enjoy passing daily. While you might think to go with the horizontal look at first, we really love the idea of hanging vertically like Benita of Chez Larsson did.
Fi of The Pink and Pretty blog shared one of our favorite ways to decorate with bunting. All it takes is hanging your colorful bunting on the top of a mirror! Nothing is as cheery and celebratory as this look is!
For a more subtle appeal, consider hanging bunting from a piece of furniture like Julia did with her dresser. The colors of the banner embellish and enhance the display she set up and also adds a bit of whimsy to the design we really love.
Mini Bunting for a Friend
We took a little piece of our mini bunting from Penelope & LaLa and used it to create a card for a friend. It's bright, cheerful and homemade - the perfect everyday kind of card to send to a friend!

Mini Bunting for Treats
Mini bunting adds an instantly festive touch to treat displays. We flipped a square glass vase we have over, topped with mini cakes and wrapped our mini bunting from Penelope & LaLa around it. We used what was leftover to jazz up a mini cake stand with our homemade mini doughnut cake.
A great way to dress cake up with mini bunting is by wrapping the bunting around the actual cake. We found this gorgeous design over at 100 Layer Cake. It's definitely not an everyday treat, but whatever reason you decide you need a good 'ol cake, add some extra fun with mini bunting in this way!
