It's always a treat to take advantage of warmer weather and host a birthday party outdoors. While you can rely on temperatures to climb, however, you can't always rely on Mother Nature when it comes to fleeting afternoon rain showers.
This easy DIY party decoration is bright, colorful and will remain so even if a rain cloud puts a temporary damper on your party. It's also perfect for those pool party birthdays where lots of splashing is a guarantee.
Supplies
8 pack of colored plastic index dividers (8 1/2 X 11 inch sheets)
paper cutter
scissors
hole punch
various colors of ribbon
15 feet of 1/8 inch white ribbon or twine
Directions

With a paper cutter or scissors, cut each plastic sheet into thirds along the 11 inch side. Snip a V into the ends that have the hole-punch.

Punch two holes along the top of each banner piece. Thread each banner onto the 15 feet-length of ribbon or twin. Separate by tying 2 pieces of colorful ribbon between each banner.
