Cotton Candy and Sparkling Wine Cocktail Recipe

Celebrate the history of cotton candy and the romance of Valentine's Day together with this sweet and sparkling cocktail recipe. The two, cotton candy and Valentine's Day, are simply made for one another and if your Valentine is a sweet tooth, he or she is sure to fall in love with this special concoction!

For added sweetness, we sprinkled our cocktail glass with a bit of powdered sugar before serving. It not only adds to the flavor, but also, the romantic feel of the drink, but it's not a requirement to truly enjoy this cocktail recipe!

Ingredients:

cotton candy (enough to give the drink color and vibrancy)

5 ounces of sparkling wine, taking care that it is dry rather than sweet

powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:

This cocktail is so simple it is almost a crime to offer directions. Pour your sparkling wine into a tall flute or champagne glass, add the cotton candy and watch it dissolve, then dust with powdered sugar before serving. 

I used a red cotton candy, which gave the drink its rich dark pink tint, but you can use any color of cotton candy to coordinate with whatever occasion you're toasting!
