With inexpensive jewelry from the craft store, candy and a glue gun, you can make some pretty sweet accessories. I made a ring and barrettes here, but you can adorn any trinket that has a flat surface.

Supplies

Plain jewelry
Acrylic craft paint
Paint brush
Hot glue gun
Conversation hearts

Note: Search the jewelry-making aisle of the craft store for inexpensive starter pieces that have flat surfaces. Rings, barrettes and pendants are good choices. Find the paint, brush and glue gun in the craft store, too.

Directions

Step 1: Paint your jewelry. This is optional, but since the candy is an irregular shape, some of the jewelry shows through the cracks and crevices, so I painted the surface pink. Let the jewelry dry completely.

Step 2: Glue the candy. Plan out your candy first on the jewelry. Then add a dab of hot glue and carefully attach the candy. Let dry completely.
