Cranberries in cocktails are always in season with us, but around the holidays, they really get incorporated into so many recipes. There's something about the combination of champagne, or sparkling wine, and cranberries that screams holiday party.
This simple sip isn't just pretty to look at - it's also full of sweet, tart cranberry flavor, and will serve a large crowd easily, which makes it an ideal sip for the holidays.
Prep your vodka and cranberry mix ahead of time and once guests arrive it's easier to serve. Once guests finish their first glass, it's easy enough for them to get their own refills, too. Just place the cranberry-vodka mix in a pitcher next to a chilled bottle of champagne! Be sure to have a bowl of cranberries for garnish, too.
We skip the lime here, but it's another popular garnish for this sip, too - especially if you decide to make it during the warmer seasons!
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup champagne
1/2 cup cranberry juice
Combine the vodka and cranberry juice. If making ahead of time in a larger batch, chill.
When ready to serve, fill a large tumbler glass with 3/4 cups of the vodka-cranberry juice mix. Top off with a 1/4 cup of the champagne or sparkling wine. If the ingredients aren't already chilled enough, add crushed ice and stir until the mixture is well chilled.
Garnish with cranberries and serve!
