CRANBERRY-ORANGE RELISH

More Party Ideas

I love the flavors of this relish and its so simple to make! It truly elevates a simple canned cranberry to new heights. I've also served these in hollowed out oranges or orange "cups" -- it is a very simple presentation that appears to be very impressive! See step 2 for instructions on this variation.

Ingredients

  • 16 Oz whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 6 Oz good quality orange marmalade
  • 1/4 Teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 Teaspoon ground cloves

Directions

  • Open cranberry sauce and place in a medium sauce pan. Add orange marmalade, ginger and cloves. Heat and serve!
  • To serve in orange cups, you will need 8 oranges. Slice the top 1/3 rd off of each orange; you may also need to slice a very thin bit off of the bottom to make the orange sit level - be careful not to cut through flesh on the bottom or the relish will leak through. Scoop out fruit, mix fruit into recipe above as directed for marmalade (your fresh orange replaces the marmalade). Once sauce is heated, spoon it into orange "cups" and serve!
