Create Your Own Red Carpet

More Party Ideas

Making your own red carpet is easy and it will make your guests feel extra honored when they get to walk down this iconic path into your party.

Supplies

  • 72" wide red felt fabric
  • Scissors
  • Fabric glue or sewing machine
  • Masking or duct tape

Directions

1. Buy two yards of 72" wide red felt fabric.

2. Cut the fabric in half (so you have two 3' by 6' pieces) and use fabric glue or a sewing machine to adhere one half to the other to create a long strip. Now you will have a 3 foot by 12 foot long red carpet.

3. Adhere to the floor with rolled up masking or duct tape underneath the carpet every few feet. This will keep the red carpet aligned all night without bunching up, and also reduces the chance of someone tripping over it.
