Thinking about throwing a party? There are a ton of helpful and fun uses for your old business cards.

You can use it to send invitations with the date, place, time and theme. The best part about these cards is that they are small enough to be placed anywhere, whether in a wallet or pocket, these cards serve as an easy reminder to your guests for whatever occasion or celebration they’ve promised to attend.

You can design your cards to be food labels for the menu you will be serving at your party, too.

If you want to take it a step further, you can even use them as allergy warnings for guests. This is a great idea for larger parties and will help the serving staff avoid any accidents.

Try turning them into recipe cards so your guests can take your party recipes home and give them a try on their own.

Turn them into a gift like we did here, buy making "cocktail cards" for the most high maintenance drinker in your life. They can then save their waiter a headache or two by having the nine steps to thier signature coctail instruction-ready on a playful card.

Put your guests’ names on the cards as decorative place cards on the tables.

If you’re having a raffle, you can use the cards as raffle tickets with the person’s name and number.

The business cards can be decorated and used as a gift tag with the person’s name on it, too.

Though they’re great to get creative with for celebrating, you can also help keep your life organized with your old business cards, too.

If you’re moving, you can use them as labels to label your storage bins, moving boxes, shelves, etc.

You can even use it as a friendly note to your neighbors, friends and family that you are moving with your address updated on it.

For a neater jewelry area, simply poke two holes in them and use it as earring holders.

Use it as a simple appointment reminder, too - whether with the doctor, dentist or a play date with a friend.

For smart medical purposes, keeping a card with your medical information in your wallet is a safer way to travel.

For those “just because” reasons, turn your card into a love note for your child’s lunchbox. You can write down an accomplishment that you are proud of, or just give helpful advice.

We always say it’s the little things that we forget to celebrate. Get impulsive and make someone feel good and write them a note on your old business card to show that you care. Stick it in their purse, on a mirror or at their desk for a simple surprise that will make them smile.

Hopefully these helpful tips deferred you from throwing away your cards and inspired you to utilize them for their number of uses!

If you choose not to do most of these ideas, give them to your kids to color and decorate, use them to fix a wobbly table, or utilize it for its most common use: a bookmark!
