More Party Ideas

Decorating your birthday cake for a bubble theme party can get pretty creative. Finding new uses for everyday items is half the fun of party planning. Using bubble wrap to create this edible cupcake topper is a great way to add texture to your party treats and recycle as you do.

Supplies

1 Sheet of bubble wrap (available at your local post office or office supply store)

1 Bag of candy melts in your color of choice

 Directions

Step 1: First wipe down bubble wrap with food safe cleaner, especially if you are recycling wrap from an old piece of mail.

Step 2: Next, place candy in a double boiler or a glass bowl on top of a small saucepan of boiling water. Allow candy to melt thoroughly, stirring constantly.

Step 3: Remove melted candy from heat and spread over clean bubble wrap, being sure to move quickly so candy doesn’t clump.

Step 4: Place candy-covered bubble wrap in refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes or until completely hardened. Peel candy off of bubble wrap and break into small, bite-sized pieces.

Step 5: Insert candy pieces into frosted cupcakes and enjoy!
