April 23 is Shakespeare's birthday! And while many an academic or literary scholar will celebrate in a more sophisticated style, we've decided to take the opposite route.
To celebrate Old Will, the man we all learned about in high school, we've rounded up a few of the most adorable pugs sporting their trendiest Shakespeare gear to share.
Who said celebrating Shakespeare's birthday couldn't be a-dog-able? After all, who can resist those cute squished up faces and adorable bug eyes? Nope, not us! And luckily, it seems like pug owners like parading their balls of fur in costumes of our favorite literary genius. Get a gander at these fashionable and intelligent pugs and get enlightened!
Do you celebrate by looking at cute and funny photos like us? Or with your favorite Shakespeare book in one hand, and a glass of wine in the other?
'Ol William himself couldn’t play a better Shakespeare. This pug is just too cute and kissable, but remember, he's smarter than you. Forget the poetry, his looks alone made us swoon.

This may not be a pug dressed like Shakespeare, but every man needs a leading lady and we think this mutt is just his type! She's just sticking her tongue out because she knows that nobody else is fairer than she.

“To bark - or not to bark, that is the question.” Maybe his poetic wisdom will ruff off and woo us all with a soliloquy to make Old Will jealous.

Curiosity did not kill the dog! This little guy is thinking, "the globe just adds to my sophistication for I have been around the world in 80 barks. Reading the globe will only make me smarter and far more intelligent than I already am!"

A pug by any other name won’t smell as sweet. All the wisdom of the world stuffed into one pug is just too cute for words. Not even Shakespeare looked this cute in his favorite hat.

We've saved the ultimate Shakespearean Pug for alst. We bet that this little Shakespearean's neck ruffle ended up buried in a yard somewhere! Haha. Too adorable for words that even Shakespeare would have a hard time putting it into a sonnet!
