Deadly Sins Halloween Party Games

More Party Ideas

What better night to be postively naughty than Halloween? Halloween is a time to let go of your inhibitions, forget about the humdrum of 9 to 5, get a little crazy and be someone else - just for a night. If you're planning on throwing a costume party this Halloween, step it up a notch and include some party games inspired by deadly sins!

Pride, lust, greed, envy, sloth, wrath and gluttony will all play a part in making your party a sinful success. Create "sin stations" for your guests and have an awards ceremony at the end. You can all go back to being boring grown ups in the morning but on this night, sinning of all sorts is encouraged!

Lust-y Ballot Box

Let your guests decide who has earned the Lust Award at your 7 Deadly Sins Halloween Party. All you need is a ballot box and at least a few friends in, ahem, provacative costumes.

Make your own Lust-y Ballot Box.

Supplies

Scissors
Magazine clippings with "sex appeal"
Glue
Old Shoebox
Construction Paper
Paper Scraps
Pens

Directions

Use your scissors to clip images/words/pictures from fashion magazines that evoke "lust."

Then use your scissors to cut a slit into the top of your shoebox.

Wrap your shoebox in plain construction paper (any color you want).

Glue your magazine clippings onto the wrapped shoebox. Overlap the clippings collage-style until the box is covered.

Place paper scraps and pens near your "lust-y" ballot box with a note that reads: "PLACE YOUR ANONYMOUS VOTE FOR THE LUST WINNER BASED ON COSTUME CHOICE."

Test of Greed

Some say money is the root of all evil; find out which one of your guests is willing to "sell his soul" for a few bucks.

This activity requires one thing: a five dollar bill.

Place a crumbled five dollar bill in a highly trafficked area at your 7 Deadly Sins Halloween Party but make it inconspicuous (ie - under the kitchen table). The first guest to pocket the money is the winner of this Greed Sin Station.

If a guest finds the money and attempts to return it, let them in on the "game." The more people that can be on the look out for the winner, the better. The prize? Well five dollars, of course!

Envious Musical Chairs

You probably played musical chairs at every Halloween party growing up, and then you grew up and musical chairs was replaced with drinking games. Combine the two and you've got yourself some pretty "envious" party guests.

The Envy Sin Station should be in the biggest room at your party locale. Set up a line of at least 10 chairs to start. Each chair should have a full cup of beer on it. The object of the game is to chug your beer and find an empty seat before the music stops.

Where does the envy come into play? Just wait until your party guests find out one of the chairs holds a cup of water, not beer. Every song, take away a chair and switch out a beer for a cup of water (which is much easier to chug). Watch the claws come out and each person becomes "envious" of the person who happened upon the chair with water. The winner is the last person seated after all the chairs have been taken away.

Dressed as a Sloth

The Sloth Sin Stationwill be the first award of the evening and will set the precedent for the festivities at your 7 Deadly Sins Halloween Party.

The winner won't know he's the winner when he walks in the door; he'll probably just think he was "too cool" to dress up for you party. The joke is on him! The person(s) who comes without a costume is the Sloth.

As a punishment for the Sloth's laziness, he/she must refill the drinks of all the party-goers who followed the rules and dressed in costume. Seems like the winner of this sin station is actually the loser. It's all in good fun!
