Hosting an engagement party at your or a friend or family member's home is a great way to cut costs. If you are living in an apartment and do not have enough room to host a party, there is bound to be a friend or relative who would be thrilled to open their home for your engagement party. Assist in clean up or hire a cleaning service as a thank you and you have an inexpensive venue option at your fingertips.

A Park

Hosting your engagement party at park is a very easy and inexpensive way to throw an engagement party, if the weather permits. Be sure to check our your favorite park's rules and regulations before determining this as the set location. Some parks may not allow alcohol to be served and will rquire you to book in advance.

A Clubhouse

If you are living in an apartment coplex or have a neighborhood club house, take advatage of this ammenity. Look in to booking this facility for your engagement party. Often times they include a fully stocked kitchen, which makes party planning and organization a cinch!

A Church Social Room

Most church's have a social room, for special events including receptions. If you are getting married at the same church or parish, ask wheter or not they wil give you a discount for hosing an engagement party there as well. It never hurts to ask!

A Library

For the literary couple, hosing an engagement party at a library can be a magical venue. Surrounded by your favorite authors and love stories it is one of the best, inexpensive venues around. Decorate with old books to create a rustic, romantic atmosphere.
