  • Having your Diego and Dora party at your house is always an easy and convenient place to throw a party. Transform your backyard into a mini jungle so that it reflects the setting on the shows.
  • A local park or beach is always a great option for throwing a Diego and Dora party. Having your party in a new location will allow the kids to feel like they are explorers like Diego and Dora.
  • If the weather is bad, clear out one of the rooms in your house and decorate it to resemble the jungle that Diego and Dora explore throughout their shows. Even though it is not outside, successfully decorating your room to mirror the setting of the show will guarantee that your guests will enjoy the party regardless of being inside.
  • Costumes - As with any themed party, the main decor of your Diego and Dora themed party will be the costumes that your guests wear to the party. You can purchase Diego and Dora costumes online at sites like Costume Express. A great way to make your guests feel comfortable wearing their costumes is by having your staff wear costumes as well!
  • Decorate your party with multiple images of Diego and Dora. Having balloons, posters, and streamers, around your party with Diego and Dora printed on them will help enforce the theme of your party. To blow up balloons, I went to my local CVS store where they charged me 49 per balloon.
  • Customize plates, cups, placemats, and tablecloths with images of Diego and Dora on them. This way your theme will constantly be present even when your guests are sitting down and eating. You can either print out images on your computer and scan them on plain tableware or buy these items premade at stores.
  • If you have a pet, dress up your animal in a costume as well. In addition to Diego and Dora, animals make up the remaining characters in these shows, so having your pets dressed in costume always adds a nice touch any party. When I threw my Diego Party last year, I dressed up my dog, Lulu Flynn, as "Lulu Flynn the Explorer" by customizing a black American Apparel shirt with the help of clothing company, C By Me.
