Help guests find their way to the party or dress up plain walls with this eye-catching
sign that just screams p-a-r-t-y!

Inspired by blinking neon signs on restaurants, bars, and other happening party spots, this easy to make sign says what you need to say for less and requires no batteries or electricity. We think party says it all, but this DIY project can be customized to suit your celebration needs; spell out a guest of honor’s name or twist your sign into a word or phrase inspired by the theme or occasion of your next get-together.

Materials

Floral wire
Wire cutters
Spray paint in bright color
Ribbon or cord

Directions

Step 1: Begin by twisting the floral into the shape of your letters—it helps to write out your phrase or word on a sheet of paper so you can see how each letter flows into the next, making it easier to bend your wire the correct way on the first try.

Step 2: Once you have shaped your wire into your desired word you are ready to paint! In a well ventilated workspace lay out several sheets of newspaper. Using a thin, even coat spray paint the front of your sign. Continue to build your layers until desired color is achieved. Let front dry before flipping over and paint underside.

Step 3: Once sign has completely dried tie ribbon ends to top of the first and last letter and hang. Voila! You’re very own neon sign.

Now find a reason to hang one of these DIY decorations up!
