DIY Snack Cones on a Stick

Apr 3, 2012

Serving snacks in paper cones allow kids to grab and go. The skewer added to the cone is a great addition that makes it possible for the cones to be displayed upright. Fill the cones with chips, french fries, popcorn, or any other snack food that you decide to serve at your kid's birthday party!

Supplies

Scrapbook paper & round cylinder vase or other object to trace around

stapler and/or tape

lollipop sticks

Directions

Step 1: Trace 2 large circles onto the scrapbook paper and cut them out. Next, cut the circle in half.

Step 2: Bring the 2 ends together and overlap them so a cone if formed and a small hole is present in the bottom. Staple the overlapping pieces together.

Step 3: Drop a skewer down through the hole and tape it to the inside of the cone. Finish off the cone by adding a coordinating sticker from the Pear Tree invitation collection.

Step 4: To display, insert the skewer into small bales of hay as seen here, or into craft foam that has been covered with wrapping paper, or shredded paper filling.
