We adorned our Thanksgiving table with a beautiful centerpiece made from wheat grass, but love the idea of using it throughout the fall season. The natural elements paired with rich neutral shades compliment each other gorgeously and highlight the beauty of Autumn.

One of the best things about this autumn decorating idea is how easy it is to make. For a busy Thanksgiving hostess worrying about meals or a homeowner in need of some festive decor that's sturdy and quick to display, this is the perfect go-to.

We came up with this fall decoration when we picked out and sent our Thanksgiving invitations to guests. Pear Tree Greeting's Elegant Gratitude invite is full of inspiration and we loved the natural color scheme and the harvest feel it's design had.

Supplies

1 bundle of dried wheat or other dried grass
large rubber band
decorative ribbon
Scissors

Directions

Step 1: Cut the ends of the dried wheat to a desired length, keeping the wheat stalks the same length.  Wrap a rubber band around the wheat stalks about 3-4 inches up from the bottom.

Step 2: Secure a decorative ribbon around the wheat bundle, covering the rubber  band.

Step 3: Stand the bundle upright and twist the bottom of the stocks in a clockwise position to fan them out so the bundle will stand securely on its own.

Step 4: Place the wheat bundle on the table and surround with small candles and branches of Fall leaves.
