Easy Chocolate Fondue

Whether you’re looking to start a spark on a cold night in a cabin or entertaining a gaggle of gal pals with a sweet tooth, chocolate fondue is a go-to dessert that is as fun as it is sophisticated.

Here’s a quick and easy fondue recipe for your next get together that can be made in under 20 minutes, leaving you plenty of time to be the social butterfly we know you are!

Ingredients

3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Fresh strawberries
Pound cake, cubed
Banana slices
Marshmallows

Directions

Place chocolate in the top a double boiler or in a glass bowl fitted over a pot of hot, but not boiling water.

Slowly stir in your heavy cream, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until the chocolate is completely melted but relatively thick, about 5 minutes.

Serve in a bowl over a hot plate immediately with fresh fruit, pound cake and other dippers.

If you own a slow cooker, take advantage of it -- it'll keep your chocolate fondue warmer longer so you won't have to rush to enjoy, though, this recipe is so delicious we can't see it lasting too long any way!
