To create a unique and inexpensive winter centerpiece, try wrapping books in pretty paper. They make a beautiful base that has texture and depth! This centerpiece design is all about using what you have at home in new and interesting ways.

Take three books off your shelf and wrap them in wrapping paper of your choosing! These books are wrapped in paper from Target and World Market. Cheap and super cute! Stack and spread at different angles to create levels and space for two tea light candles to sit!

Bell and books

Use two beer bottles on either side of the display. Remove the labels by soaking the bottles in water for ten minutes in order to easily peel off the paper with no residue! Stick small ornaments (found at the 99 Cent Store) on the top of the bottles.

Fill in the rest of the space on top and around the books with a variety of elements you may have at home.

Take a clear wine glass from your cabinet and fill it with small ornaments. Scatter more ornaments at the bottom of the glass and place two glitter pine cones on either side of the wine glass.

If you have bell ornaments at home you can place one on either side of the books as well. Step it up by placing a flameless candle in the center of the bell to make it glow!
