Easy DIY Ornament Wreath

Supplies

Wire hanger
30+ ball ornaments in assorted sizes
Hot glue gun or super glue
30+ ball ornaments in assorted sizes
Thick ribbon, at least an inch wide

Directions

Step 1: Re-work a wire hanger into a wreath circle shape--keep in mind the heavier duty kind may require pliers for a smooth, round shape, while the thinner hangers (usually white) can be molded easily by hand, and both are durable enough for the light-as-a-feather ornaments. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare your ornaments by removing any hanging thread and gluing on their removable caps. The extra step to secure the caps will ensure no wayward ornaments popping off the wreath when it's moved (they're a bit fragile, so the reinforcement will help).

Step 3: Once all metal caps have been glued and set to dry, take the wire hanger circle and undo the ends gently, while preserving the circle shape. String the ornaments along the hanger, one at a time. It works best to alternate small, medium and large sizes in random order, or by sight, to get a fully "packed" wreath. If, as you go, you feel your clusters are looking sparse, you can simply remove and rearrange the balls to fill in gaps.

Step 4: Being careful to secure the other end of the wreath, continue stringing the ornaments around the ring until it's full, leaving a few inches of wire at each end to re-tie the ends. Simply twist the hanger back together as it was before. Using a thick ribbon, cover the hanger handle by wrapping, or by creating a big loop around the entire hook. Using the same ribbon, or a second one, fastened to the first, tie a big bow for a finishing touch!
