We're big fans of Oreos and even bigger fans of anything covered in chocolate on a stick. For a special Halloween treat, we created these edible Jack-o-Lanterns on a stick that make great party favors. Kids can even get creative and help draw little faces on each of the pumpkins.

These Halloween treats are easy to make. Watch our video and follow the steps below to make your own!

Ingredients:

1 pack of Double Stuffed Oreos

1 package of orange candy coating or orange colored chocolate

1 pack of green Tic Tacs

Long lollipop sticks (We used Wilton)

1 AmeriColor Gourmet Writer Food Decorating Pen in black

Wax or parchment paper

Directions:

Take your Double Stuffed Oreos and place them in the fridge for an hour. This will help prevent cracking and solidify the cookie.

Carefully skewer your Oreos with a lollipop stick and pop them back in the fridge until you are ready to coat them in candy.

On your stove top, use a double boiler to melt your candy coating or chocolate. They can be easily done by boiling a small amount of water in a pot and letting a small glass bowl float in the center, not touching the bottom or sides of the pot. Make sure your heat is on low and place the coating into the bowl. Mix it slowly until all of the chocolate is melted and the consistency is smooth.

Grab your Oreos on a stick from the fridge and cover them in your candy coating. The Oreos are very delicate so we prefer to "frost" them as you would a cupcake, instead of dipping the whole thing in the bowl of coating to prevent any breaking of the cookie.

Please your candy covered Oreo on a piece of wax paper and add a green Tic Tac at the top. This will be the stem of your Jack-o-Lantern. You might have to hold the Tic Tac there for a few seconds while the candy sets.

Repeat this step depending on the number of Oreos you have prepared.

Once your Oreos are completely dry, grab your AmeriColor Gourmet Writer and draw little Jack-o-Lantern. This is the fun part where kids can help. You can make them creepy, cute or draw silly faces.
