Creating new Halloween decorations does not always mean buying new supplies. Save money and trips to the craft store with this easy Halloween wreath idea.

You can create an easy repurposed Halloween wreath using items you already have. Last year, while I was packing away my Halloween decorations I noticed that a few of our treasured decorations were broken, rather than tossing them away, I kept them in the hopes that over the coming months inspiration would strike and I would find a way to re-use them the following year.

While packing away our Easter decorations, I noticed that our spring wreath was nearing the end of it festive journey and decided to repurpose the wreath at Halloween using our beloved broken decorations.

Removing the Easter décor was simple, and left me with a nearly new wreath that worked beautifully for our spooky new Halloween wreath. Within 10 minutes our wreath went from Easter to Halloween with little to no creative skill on my part.

Supplies

Supplies
Crafting Wire
Scissors
Discarded Easter Wreath
Broken Skeleton Chain
Unloved Spider Rings
Last year’s spider web

Directions

Step 1: Fasten the skeletons around the wreath, using the crafting wire to secure them to wreath.

Step 2: Once the skeletons are secure on the wreath, lightly cover them with the spider web to give the illusion of a tomb or forgotten graveyard.

Step 3: Position your spiders around the wreath so they peak out of the spider webs or float across the skeletons. The web should be enough to secure them in place, however you can always use a hot glue gun to do the same thing.

The Easter wreath is now a spooky showcase for last year’s Halloween goodies at no cost to us and in less than 10 minutes!
