Decorating for a tailgate party is as easy as taking inspiration from your team colors and adding a few balloons to the tailgate to give it a festive party spirit.
We used a cream blanket as a back-drop to keep the focus on the tailgate rather than the whole car, and a black blanket on the tailgate so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying abut party spills.
Adding balloons, printables and football accessories made decorating simple, and the clean up even easier.
These black and red printables from Gwynn Wasson Designs captured the old football feel we were after, bringing our red, black and cream color theme together.
Adding tags to our balloon streamers, stickers to our water bottles, bunting across the top and décor to our wraps continued the tailgate theme without having to add heavy decorations to the party.
Attaching the printables to the balloons mean that when the game started, the children could take the balloons as party favors, and the printables attached to the bottom could help continue our traditional football theme into the stadium.
The bunting from the printable collection and balloons was a simple way to get the team spirit going. They looked great set atop the cream blanket back drop.
Keep Tailgate Decor Simple!
Adding bunting and printed partyware to our tailgate party décor meant that when we packed the car, we needed very little room for the decorations.
And even better, when we arrived, setting up the décor was simple, and when game time started it took seconds to take down.
