Enlist the Help of a Co-host for Your Party

If you don't want to throw the party by yourself, enlist a co-host to help you plan your party. For example, when I threw Lucas' Diego Party, his friend Liv's mother and aunt offered to help prepare the Sweets Bar for the party. While I supplied the toppers and cupcake holders, Liv's mother and aunt, Letizia and Lizette, prepared the actual desserts.

To keep in theme with the party, Letizia and Lizette came up with fun Diego and Dora names for the desserts, including "Diego Rainforest cupcakes," "Dora Star Catcher cookies," and "Dora Dulce de Leche" rice crispy treats.

You can choose to coordinate with your co-host the week before the party or you can simply trust their judgment. Not only will this help save you time, but it is a great way to involve another child into the party as well.
