With fall vegetables and a little creativity, you can create a beautiful blooming Thanksgiving centerpiece for your table.
For the super creative and talented, try making your flowers from the vegetables using a paring knife.
Supplies
1 or 2 Wide, low baskets, containers or vases to hold the centerpieces
Enough florists foam to fill the containers you are using (to create a base)
Squash
Purple cabbage
radishes
Beets
Large carrots (not baby)
Parsley and Rosemary for "grass" and fillers
Sunflowers
1 bag of long wooden skewers
Instructions
Cover the floral foam with the parsley and shoots of rosemary.
Carefully slide the wooden skewers through your vegetables to secure them at the base.
nsert the bottom ends of the floral stems into the parsley-covered floral foam for stability as well.
Repeat, inserting stems of various heights and flowers until you've created an even arrangement. Create a stylish and festive table with candlelight and reminders of the season.
