Festive Christmas Tabletop Ideas

Jennifer Adams give us some quick, inexpensive, simple and sparkly tips for turning your ordinary Christmas tabletop into a beautiful holiday focal point.

Adams encourages viewers to start out by making a plan. Sit down for a few minutes and decide what you want your table to look like. This will make shopping and choosing items from your Christmas decorations easier.

Adams also suggest following a Christmas decorating trend. Some of the most common are reddish-purple hues alone or combined with crisp, apple green colors and combining metallics with each other. No matter which theme you use, just be sure to stick to it.

For Place Settings

Simple China
Inexpensive chargers
Napkins
Berries or currants
Ribbon
Side plate
Small gifts

For Centerpiece

Greenery such as tree  or wreath trimmings
Berries or currants
Table cloths

Directions

For Place Setting

Place china atop charger.

Then neatly fold a napkin and place in the center of the plate.

Next, tie a ribbon around a small bundle of currants

On the side plate, add a small wrapped gift. This can be real or fake, but it is nice to sent your guests home with a small party favor.

Add a gift tag to the base of the stemware this will serve as a place card as well as a drink identifier.

For the Centerpiece

Layer table cloths, for a full and luxurious look.

Start with large gifts, then expand by adding smaller objects.

Disperse greenery and currants throughout the table top to create a reoccurring theme with the berries from the place settings.
