Fingerprints are one-of-a-kind - no two people have the same. As unique as we are, fingerprints are a special way to craft a Valentine's Day card.

Use our card as inspiration, and let older kids be creative by choosing their own patterns to make.

Supplies

blank card or white cardstock cut to size
red and pink ink pads
black marker
embellishments such as paper scraps, stickers or glitter

Directions

Step 1: Press finger (or thumb) onto ink pad and make overlap fingerprints on the card cover to form heart shapes.

Step 2: Continue making hearts on the card in your chosen design.

Step 3: We made a simple circle and added some in the corner. A glitter heart in the middle of the circle completes the design.

Step 4: The finished card includes a frame of red, decorative-edge paper.

Step 5: Let kids draw or write, if they can, a little message inside the card.
