Finish the Lyric

Christmas songs and carols are a major part of the holidays - in fact, we can't help but hum one of our favorite Christmas tunes as we prepare for the holidays by decorating our homes and cooking up a wonderful feast for our friends and families.

At this year's Christmas party, try playing this super fun Christmas party game! "Finish the Lyric" is a great game for the whole family to play at a festive, holiday celebration.

Better yet, it is hysterical to see what words and phrases your friends and family will finish their lyrics with! The great part about this Christmas game is that you do not need a lot of supplies but make sure you are ready to laugh!

Supplies

A songbook of popular holiday songs
Or, go online and print out lyrics for all the songs you plan to use in the trivia game.

Set up

Before the game starts, the host should go through the songbook or list of songs and blank out one word per line of the song.

The answer (the blanked out word) should be written at the end of each songs line.

This way, the missing lyric is easy to find yet removed from the line itself so the person reading out the line won't accidentally say the lyric.

How to Play

1. Have one partner read the lyric (minus the missing word) to the guesser.

2. The guesser then has to guess which word is missing.
