Another decorative element on this 4th of July spread is a glass vase simply decorated with ribbons and a patriotic little pinwheel.

Materials:

2 glass vases
2 white floating candles
Red, white, and blue grosgrain ribbon in various widths
Double-stick tape
Scissors
Mini patriotic pinwheel picks (or a similar accent)

Directions:

Step 1: Trim lengths of red, white and blue ribbon to fit around your vases.

Step 2: Layer the ribbon and use double-stick tape to keep them in place. (If the ribbon is really skinny, you may have to cut the tape lengthwise so it won't be seen.)

Step 3: Wrap the layered ribbons around the vases and use double-stick tape to keep them in place.

Step 4: Add your mini pinwheel and adhere it to the ribbon with double-stick tape. (For heavier accents, you may have to use a glue-dot or hot glue.)

Step 5: Place the vases on the table, fill them 3/4 of the way with water, and a floating candle in each one.
