If diamonds are a girls best friend, chocolate is the runner up. So why not treat your gal pals to an indulgent wine, cheese and chocolate tasting party. Just tell your diet, it's educational.

• Visit a local wine store as well as a gourmet cheese store and chocolatier.
• Ask the experts for recomendations and select a variety of different tastes from dark to light.
• As always the internet is a great research tool: check out retailers like Zingerman's and Vosges Chocolates for the ultimate in gourmet goodies.
• Handmake tasting cards to go along with each of your selected wines, cheeses and chocolates--include notes about each so that your guests can remember their faves!
• Set up tasting stations--arrange small glasses of wine into flights, and bite-sized servings of the cheeses and chocolates.
• Accompany with bite-sized noshes like a selection of crackers, grapes, olives and strawberries.
• After you're finished (and full) screen a delish foodie movie like Chocolat or Sideways.
