When I saw the Chandelier Web invitation over at Pear Tree Greetings, I knew I had to have it for the girl's Bunco night Halloween party I was planning. Follow these fun tips in decorating your party space for your glam theme Halloween party.
This glam, sophisticated invitation is a far cry from the cheesy monsters and monotonous witches we see on party store shelves.
I loved the elegance of the black and white invitation and added just a touch of bright purple throughout my space for an extra little pop of glam.
Black and white toile print was used throughout the decorating scheme. I wrapped the Bunco prizes in a toile print paper and tied them with a glittery purple ribbon.
The plates, runners and napkins continued to echo the elegance of black and white toile. To mimic the chandelier on the invitation, we created some chandelier prisms to add to the party decor, as well as a few unexpected glitzy spiders.
Getting together to play Bunco with the girls is really just an excuse for an evening out to chat, laugh, eat and enjoy friendships. I decorated each of the card tables with little black evening bags. Add a few purple silk flowers and you have a great centerpiece for the table.
Some sparkly purple spiders were clipped to the purse for a little Halloween "eek" and the Bunco Score cards were stamped with spiders and then mounted on a decorative black and silver paper.
With inspiration from my Chandelier Web invitation, I decorated the buffet with a bit of glamour, some sparkle, and for the "eek factor," some big scary spiders.
My plain purple candles got all dressed up for the party, too. Jewels from the craft store were strung together to replicate a chandelier prism and were then tied to the candles with black organza ribbon.
It's easy to transform a candle to fit the party theme and is an inexpensive way to decorate.
There's something a bit glamorous about a pretty glass jar filled with chocolates. But beware! We added a big... black...sparkly spider to create a little scare!
A ceramic white pumpkin got a splash of color and a little glam with the addition of a black and white polka dot ribbon and some silk flowers tied to the stem. Attaching a little glittered sprig of silver leaves gave it the elegant look we wanted.
Look around your house for containers that may have a dual-purpose. This square black vase was perfect for holding the utensils.
We wrapped the forks and spoons in a black and white toile print napkin and then tied them up with a glitzy purple ribbon.
A tiered stand of cupcakes can make the perfect centerpiece for your buffet. It's a fun, colorful, and of course, yummy, edible centerpiece. We added some cute toppers with that same spider we met on the Pear Tree invitation.
I'm not sure if this spider was invited to the party, but she showed up anyway. The Halloween section at the craft store had lots of inexpensive items to add to our Halloween glam decor.
We suspended this web above the buffet table and the spider, dressed in her party-best kept watch over things all night long.
Bottles of French soda got in the party spirit with a simple band of decorative paper adhered around the middle. The spider web print complimented the graphics on the Chandelier Web invites that we sent out. What a quick and easy way to add a little more decor to your themed table.
For a party favor for our guests, we crafted little black purses from decorative paper and small paper sacks. We filled them full of gourmet chocolates, added a satin ribbon handle, and a little jeweled brad to the front. They fit our inspired theme perfectly and were a great decoration on the buffet table.
