Glowing Summer Cocktail Party

Those long summer nights are the perfect time to take your cocktail parties outdoors and sample a variety of new cocktails. Take a peek at the summer cocktail party we recently hosted for friends - it was a laid-back get-together, but we still made it special. The entire menu and look for this party was inspired by the chic party invitation we found at Pear Tree Greetings. It really helped set the tone for our party and gave us tons of inspiration!

This idea was sponsored by Pear Tree Greetings.

While looking for ideas on a casual party to host to celebrate summer, we came across this invitation from Pear Tree Greetings. The fun lantern design set the tone for the entire soiree - pops of bright yellows and oranges throughout our backyard decor paired with glowing cocktail recipes, cute printables for guests to take home and a relaxed atmosphere made for the perfect summer party.

The idea behind this summer party was to keep things casual, yet fun and new. We stuck to the glowing theme our invitation presented us with and focused primarily on our backyard lighting.

Instead of just any old candles, we bought these white pillars from our local dollar store. Then, we embellished them with our stunning candle wraps that Paula of Frog Prince Paperie made for us. They tie the invitation and table top together perfectly!

We also scattered a few wire lanterns throughout our space along with some repurposed twinkle lights. Both lighting elements added a soft glow to our space, which helped make our casual, relaxed atmosphere come to life.

We concocted three signature glowing drinks to keep the summer night bright and festive - paired with the printables inspired by our decoration, these drinks are all the party you need!

The Fire Fly Cocktail is festive and smooth - it got it's name from the memories we have of catching fire flies during the summer as kids.

The Glow Stick Martini is sweet, sour and the perfect summer cocktail. Add a brighter touch to yours by embellishing with a lit glow stick swirl!

Our recipe for a Glow Worm cocktail is refreshing with a hint of pineapple.
