The grand finale for your Hawaiian Luau Theme Party is an incredible dessert made with grilled pineapple and pound cake.
A scoop of vanilla ice cream and some toasted macadamia nuts and coconut put this treat over the top!
Ingredients
Store-bought pound cake, cut in 3/4 inch slices
6 tablespoons melted butter
Fresh pineapple, cored and cut in spears
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts, toasted
1/2 cup toasted coconut
premium vanilla ice cream
caramel sauce
Directions
With a pastry brush, coat both sides of the sliced pound cake and the sides of the pineapple spears with melted butter.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on the sides of the pineapple. Grill on medium heat--about 2 minutes each side.

Remove the pound cake and pineapple from the grill. Slice the warm pineapple into chunks.
To assemble, drizzle warm caramel sauce on each plate. Top with a slice of grilled poundcake, pineapple chunks and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with toasted coconut and macadamia nuts on top.
