When planning out the look for your gymnastics birthday party, bring the elements of the gym into the design you’re thinking about. We did this by incorporating a trampoline, balance beams, rings, uneven bars, ball pits and more gymnastic themed elements into our party display table.
First, choose primary colors as your pallet.
Though it’s always nice to use the guest of honor’s favorite shades, for this party there’s a lot going on and primary colors will pop, without distracting, and bring the entire party’s look together.
Keep Themed Decor Simple
We ordered a set of gymnastics themed invitations and printables. The invitation got guests excited for the party and set the stage (or should we say tumbling mat?) for the big day.
The printables we used looked fantastic on our table, but were also a big help! They eliminated a lot of extra work and still gave the party a unique, customized look.
For your table, create a backdrop using an inexpensive plastic tablecloth. Again, keep it in the primary colors theme.
Then, purchase, or make, a large letter that’s appropriate for the guest of honor – like their initial. If you’re purchasing it, be sure it compliments the backdrop and tablecloth you’re using. If it doesn’t, paint it so it does!
Center your letter on your backdrop and hang homemade tumbling rings on either side of the letter.
How to Make Gymnastic Tumbling Ring Decoration:
You can create your rings by taking 8” wreathes purchased from your local dollar store and covering them with coordinating streamers, also found at your local dollar store.
Then, just hang the finished rings with streamers from the backdrop! This is super easy and a really inexpensive way to embellish the party.
Assemble the Table
For the actual table, pick your birthday desserts using gymnastics and the gym as inspiration.
We made a trampoline cake, a balance beam stand for cake balls, un-even cupcakes, a gumball ball pit and jumping jelly beams.

Decorate the Rest of Your Space with Tissue Fans
To spruce up the rest of the gym for your gymnastics party craft a banner, themed signs and DIY Fans.
We made our Fans using dollar store tissue paper. Once made, we simply attached the Gymnastic themed printable party circles to the center.
