Similar to our balance beam dessert stand, we crafted uneven bars to act as the stands for our cupcakes. We brought our cupcakes, but then added colorful patterned cupcake liners to the cupcakes for a bright finishing touch that fit right in with our theme.

Craft your own uneven bars for a themed table display!

Supplies

A 1-inch wide closet rod cut into two 18-inch pieces (we used a 4-foot long rod)
Four 2-foot long pieces of poplar wood (measuring 1/4-inch by 2-inches)
Paint

Directions

Cut 2 back pieces 18 inches and the front 2 12 inches for the upright pieces.

The base pieces are 12 inches

The bars are 10 inches apart.

Paint a complimentary color to your tablescape.

Don't Forget the Ball Pits!

With the extra material from the Uneven Bars build an 8-inch by 10-inch box and 5-inch by 7-inch box.

Cover both of these with streamers and fill with gumballs for a ‘Gum Ball’ Pit and Jelly Beans for your ‘Jumping Jellybeans’ display.  (Gumball Pit and Jumping Jelly Beans).
