Halloween Murdery Mystery Games

More Party Ideas

1. Ater your guests begin to arrive dressed in character, be sure to greet them with any special instructions, additional props (say the murder weapon, a toy version, of course!) and any other additional information.

2. Soon after set the scene for your guests while they mingle. For example, if your focused on a True Blood theme, let your guests know that you've all gathered Bill's house for a party that he and Sukie's are throwing, introduce all of the guests, etc. This sets the scene and gives your guests a chance to mingle, have some wine and snacks too.

3. About 30 minutes in or so, arrange to have the lights go out and perhaps a woman's scream be heard! Once the lights come back on, you are ready to move on to the investigation.

4. Have your detective relay all of the details of the murder to your guests, citing what room and when it took place. You can go as far as to create an ouline of a body on the floor in a spare room.

5. Next, the detective should question each guests, who will have prepared statements to give (prepared by you ahead of time!) Each character should have a story to tell about where they were when the murder happened with a mysterious clue that could tie them to the murder.

6. End the evening by solving the crime and awarding the winner a small prize such as a bottle of wine!
