Handmade Doilies Craft

A tea party is not complete without dainty doilies decorating the table.  Get your guests involved and create your own handmade doilies with the little ones. This easy kid craft idea fits in perfect to the whimsical tea party theme and adds to the beautiful look and feel of the party!

Supplies

a variety of whole punch designs (find them at a local craft store)
scissors
colorful construction paper (we like to coordinate with our party's color scheme)
a soup bowl (or other round item of comparable size)

Directions

Step 1: Place the bowl over the construction paper and trace around the bowl to create a circular shape. Then, cut out the circle.

Step 2: Fold the circle in half and cut a variety of wholes. The technique is very similar to the one you use to create snowflakes.

Step 3: Unfold the circle with the cuts you have made; your hand made doilies are complete! Get creative with how you incorporate these into your party's look and feel.
