This casserole side dish is a good choice for your Thanksgiving feast. Creamy, crunchy and super tasty, it's sure to be piled high on all your guests plates.
Ingredients:
1 bag frozen hash browns slightly thawed
8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 stick melted butter
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
4 slices cooked bacon chopped
1/2 green pepper seeded and finely chopped
8 ounces shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
Directions:
First, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. While it warms, grease a 9x13 baking dish and set aside.
Next, in a large mixing bowl cream together your cream cheese, butter, celery soup, salt, pepper, cheese and green onions. Toss in your hash browns and bacon and fold together with a spatula.
Spread the mixture evenly into your baking dish and bake 45 minutes covered.
After 45 minutes, uncover and top with crushed cornflakes. Then bake an additional 15 minutes uncovered or until golden and bubbly and serve.
