September marks the beginning of the fall season - both officially and unofficially. While we can't exactly celebrate the start of fall until September 21st, the cooler temps, crisper air and colorful leaves that begin to appear earlier in the month make it impossible to resist the call of Autumn.

Created by Paul Corsentino, Executive Chef at The National, this Fall Basket cocktail recipe is a light, sweet blend that brings you into Autumn at the first sip. Mix up your own by rimming a martini glass with brown sugar and pouring in a shaken mix of 1 1/2 ounces of apple-infused vodka, an ounce of Frangelico Hazelnut liqueur and a splash each of simple syrup and cranberry juice. Garnish with a slice of apple!
Izy is an impressive blogger I follow. Not only is she an amazing young photographer and cook, she's also incredibly unique. I never come across a recipe on her site that's a "been there, done that" kind of thing. This toasted-coconut hazelnut butter is one example of all that and the perfect recipe to have on hand all season-long.

I love Nutella so much, I've been known to eat it off a spoon when I'm in need of a quick pick-me-up. Now, thanks to Jill, I can make my very own. Her amazing homemade Nutella tutorial makes it look so simple, I'm no longer intimidated at not making that perfect blend I crave so much.

Though summer is by far THE frozen treat month, we need to slowly wean ourselves off the cold desserts we enjoy so much. A simple, homemade coffee cooler, complete with lots of fall flavors thanks to the hazelnut, is the perfect way to do just that.
At first, it was the light flaky crumb crust of this tart that made me do a double take. Then, I looked more closely and realized Deb worked plums and hazelnuts into the filling, and THEN my brain exploded over the sheer deliciousness of this. Make a hazelnut plum crumb tart like this for friends this fall and they'll never leave.
