Your kids will love crafting their own heart mobile - especially if they can hang their favorite charms and accessories on it. There's something so precious about a mobile that is made by a child. I guess it's the sway of the ornaments that a child has crafted and hung that makes it completely special for any occasion.
Decide what kind of mobile you want to make and purchase the ornaments, string, and hanger for the artwork. Here are a few ideas:
Shells with painted hearts dangling from twine on a driftwood hanger.
Foam or paper cut out hearts hanging from ribbon on a wire clothes hanger.
Jewelry heart charms or pendants purchased from a craft store strung on to jewelry wire hanging from a painted wood dowel or nice piece of ironwork.
Supplies
Your choice of ornaments
String
Wire hanger(s)
Pliers
Directions
To make the mobile, cut the straight end of the wire hanger so you have one long piece of wire.
Repeat this process until you have enough wires for your mobile.
Then, use pliers and one of your wire pieces to make a "knot" in the middle of your main wire.
Loop the other wires through the knot.
Attach your trinkets and ornaments to the ends!
