Valentine's Day is all about celebrating love and the ones you cherish most; may it be your kids, friend or spouse. I always send my girl friends little Valentine's Day cards and without fail, I always bake. What's a celebration anyway without some chocolate or sugar?
Obviously pinks and reds are covering our Pinterest feeds with Valentine's Day desserts, but what really stood out is all of the creative recipes we are seeing with a heart shape. Sure anyone can use a cookie cutter, but why not do something a little bit more out of the box!

I've seen Oreo stuffed cupcakes and cake balls baked into a layer cake, but I've never seen this heart-shaped technique. The cake alone looks absolutely stunning, but imagine cutting into a slice of that to reveal some extremely cute pink hearts. I'm sure my friends would freak.

No one can resist a whoppie pie, but make a red velvet and heart-shaped and you've got some pretty perfect edible Valentine's Day treats. I really love the vibrant red in these pies. I'm sure a gel food coloring could replicate this shade of red if you are interested in trying it out at home.

Alright so you may not be as crafty as Bakerella, but these macarons definitely fit the bill as one of the cutest Valentine's Day desserts ever. Better yet, macarons on a stick! Why didn't I think of that sooner.

Staying with the pop theme, because I'll eat almost anything on a stick, these conversation hearts are great to whip up and pass around to your friends and family with a little hand written note. The best part is, they are s'mores pops made with graham cracker, melting chocolate and fluff, placed between a stick, and then covered in candy coating.

When I first saw these, I thought they were mini homemade sprinkles, but they are actually cream cheese mints! This super easy, no-bake recipe is great to put in little cellophane bags and tie up with a pretty ribbon to give to your child's teacher or even just a friend.
So get creative in the kitchen this Valentine's Day and whip up something sweet and unique that your friends and family will love!
